BIG NEWS!

So here it is my BIG NEWS...Are you ready for it?  Sure your ready??

I'm moving to Nashville!
The Boylan's (one of the families i nanny for) are moving mid May to Nashville. And as soon as Brandon (The dad) finds a job up there i'll be heading up to join them.

I'm very excited, it has been amazing to see God working in all of this.  But until I move i'm going to need about 10-15 more hours of work to make up for the shift in work.  So if you know anyone in the Jackson area looking for a nanny/babysitter please let me know!

My only concerns about Nashville at the moment is the traffic and being closer to Opry Mills (where I will spend all my money).

I hope this does not disappoint anyone to much, and that I have you support and prays in all the exciting changes coming my way!

Happy Friday everyone!  So it has been a crazy busy week.  I've been getting ready for a yard sale i'm having tomorrow at my parents house. My poor apartment has suffered because of it and sadly my blog has too. This is what my poor living room has looked like due to getting ready for the yard sale...

I also wasted spent a lot of time before that reading The Hunger Games.  I read the thrid on in less than 10 hours.

But Since it is Friday I wated to also share my encouraging workout images :)  So with our further a due here they are...

Oh and Boy have i missed The Big Bang Theory I'm so ready for it to come back on!

Pink Punch

So at our super bowl party Amber made this amazing punch that everyone loved.  So last month was my turn to host stampin up club and I decided to make it for everyone.  And they all loved it.  So today I thought id share it with you.
I'm calling it Pink Punch as you can see why.

All you need to make it is...
1-Can frozen Lemonade
1-Can frozen Orange juice
1-Large(48oz) Can of Pineapple Juice (not Frozen)
1-box of Raspberry jello
1-2 liter of ginger ale/7Up/Sprite(whatever one is you fav)

So you mix the Juices and jello together till they dissolve.  You may need to strain it now if your not a fan of pulp in your punch. (I cant stand Pulp) Now mix in The 2 Liter and there you have it one Amazing punch.  It makes just over two pitchers or fills a punch bowl right up.

Kid Aprons

So For Easter I made aprons for my Nephew, Niece and Chase.  I thought i'd share them with you.  I started by measuring Chase around his waist, and shoulders to knee. Then I took this tutorial here and altered the measurements to kid size.
I forgot to take pictures of the cutting out of the apron.  but you just fold your fabric in half and cut down and inch, then an angle, and then strait down and across. then you unfold and there you have the apron. Its kind like cutting a heart out of paper.
So first thing i do is iorn down all the sides, I start with the top.
Then I do the bottom.
Next the sides,
and lastly the angled part.  now all the sides git a double fold to make it smooth but the angled side i do one fold because it will get folded again later.
by iorning all the sides al one time i can sew the whole thing in one shot instead of doing each side one at a time.
Now you fold the angles over about and inch, iron and sew.

then you need to put your strap up through and then back down both angles.  I found a butter knife works really well at getting it pushed through.

I ironed on a patch to the boys and made fabric flowers for my Niece's apron.
Oh and I forgot I also attached a pocket to the front.  here is how i did that.
Iron the sides down just like the apron.
Realized it was going to be too big so i just made a big fold over.

sewed up the edges and the put the big fold back in and sewed it to the apron down the side across the bottom and then up the other side.
Here are the final results...
I put paper in the pockets so you could see them better.

The kids love them. And now they can cook with mommy in their very own apron.
