Moving Update!

So I  just realized its been Foooooorever since i updated you all on my move to Nashville. so here is an update!

1.last i believe i shared was packing up my apartment and moving back in with my parents temporarily till i moved up to Nashville with the Boylans.

2. i am not going to be working for the Boylans like we thought. Brandon is going to continue the stay at home dad thing for a while. But i still felt God calling me to Nashville. This again shows Gods plans are rarely our plans.

3. So the boylans have graciously offer to let me stay with them temporarily should I find a job in Nashville.

4. I started the job hunt...and thanks to my great friend Carol i cot connected with Greenhills Nanny Agency Andrea there is Awesome and i highly recommend them to anyone seeking a nanny or a nanny job!

5. I started driving to Nashville for interviews quite frequently.  interviews turned out to very useful for me to realize what i really wanted in a job/family and that was great/

6. I got a job! I got the call Friday and was es-tactic. i had interviewed twice with this awesome family and had been praying for the job a lot too. They are due with their first child a boy on Dec. 30th.  So i will start in February part time and then in March i'll go to full time. i figure it will be at the earliest end of March that i'll be getting an apartment. But I'm so thankful i'll be able to stay with the Boylans to get familiar with the area and to find a great apartment.

so there is the latest update on the move! and i'm really going to "try" to post some yummy goodies and other  things in the next few coming weeks.

Personalized Gift Bag

So I have this awesome friend who's getting married very soon and I got her a gift for her shower.  But I wanted a fun way to wrap it.  I came across this cute bag on Pinterest. but it turned out to be just an image that lead to an image website that is in a different language. So i decide to wing it myself.  And i'm pleased to say it turned out great. So i'm going to share it with you.

here is the image I have to go off of.

So I gathered my tools...
~Canvas Bag
~Foam Brush
~Fabric Paint
~Paper Doily
~Freezer Paper
~Computer/Printer (for Letter)

Position the doily in the corner to your liking. I used double stick tape to hold the doily down. Then paint over the doily with your fabric paint. and pull off the doily when your done painting, no need for it to dry first.

Then pick your letter. I got on word and found the letter P i liked the best. (my friends new last name starts with the letter P) I printed it out. Next lay your freezer paper over the printed letter. Make sure the shiny side is face down. and use your cutting tool so trace/cut the letter out of your freezer paper.  Then iron the freezer paper onto the bag, and paint  over the freezer paper and peel off once you like the look. let dry and you have a gorgeous personalized bag.

Oh and the tulle bow i learned to make on pinterest too!
Click here to see how it was made.  I added a safety pin to mine so it can be removed.

So a Gift to hold your Gift!  I hope you enjoy making your own!

My Busy Day Off!

Today i was off, but managed to stay busy.  so i thought i'd share my busy day with you.

9:40am got out of bed (it is my day off)

the first thing i did was make cake batter fudge (G-Free)
I got the recipe from Baked in a box i found on pinterest of course.
sorry not the best picture.  But if you go over to Baked in a Box she has great photos. Oh and i used pastel sprinkles and a gluten free cake mix.

Next I gave the Puppies a bath.
Marshmellow Loved getting dried off. Buttercup hates baths and everything that goes with it.

After giving the dogs a bath I vacuumed the house, swept the kitchen, bathroom, and laundry room. and cleaned the bathroom.

Next I made Cheesecake brownies for my mom to take to work.

While they were in the oven i took a quick shower. And then pulled them out to cool. i then crashed on the couch and watch saved by the bell, and boy meets world.

later i brushed the puppies. again Marshmellow loves this and Buttercup hates it.

Hung out with Dad when he got home from work and I'm now posting this and it is off to bed!

Do you find your days off to be busier than the days you work?

Gluten Free Choc. Chip Oatmeal Cookies

This post is for those of you on facebook I told i'd share my G-Free cookies with you.

 Here it goes!

I alawys mix together the sugars and butter first.  make sure you have the butter sit out so it will be soft. then mix in vanilla, salt, baking soda, and eggs, once that is mixed you can ad the flour and oatmeal. add Chocolate chips last.  place dough in the fridge for at least one hour before cooking. preheat oven to 350 degrees. next you need to grease the cookie sheet. then cook cookies for around 8 mins depending on size of cookies and oven.

this is the flour and oatmeal i use to make the cookies G-Free!
as you can see by the picture on the top right it makes a big difference on how you grease you cookie sheet. that is how they will turn out with no grease or just pam sprayed on.

All cooled off and ready to eat. They taste sooo good!
Oh and I used that butter stick to grease my cookie sheet.

I hope you enjoy and feel free to ask any questions!

Chick-Fil-A

My trip to Chick-Fil-A
So today is Chick-Fil-A appreciation day and I made the adventure there, taking pictures all the way.  So here are the pictures! I time stamped them so you guys can see the time it took.
This is where the line started next to Serra Chevrolet dealership. they had an officer out directing traffic at the dealerships entrance.

up a head is the 4 way flashing red light.

I can see Chick-Fil-A!!!
In the drive thru line!

as you can see no one is attempting to park at chick-fil-a but rather choosing to park across the street.

I can see the drive thru ordering spot!

The last picture i took before ordering.
it was 3:04pm when i pulled out of Chick-Fil-A.The best Part was seeing how kind all the other drivers were to each other, and all the smiles as people went in and out of Chick-Fil-A.
Did you make the adventure today?
